Parenting Emotional trauma in early childhood Adoption Post Concussive/virus injury Care
Susan started her career as a counselor working with middle and high school students with mental health challenges. She has worked in community mental health, in adoption and as a psychology professor prior to focusing solely on private practice in 2006.
As she worked more and more with children and parents she found that they are often pointed toward medication or strict behavioral plans. She was unsatisfied with the options offered to families and found neurofeedback to be a better approach. Once she was introduced to this treatment option she never looked back!
Susan blends neuro with traditional therapies to build skills and resolve feelings and conflicts that were previously unmoving. Because neurofeedback helps the brain regulate, the client and the family are able to tackle feelings and issues that weren’t possible before.
Since the beginning of Susan’s neurofeedback journey she has also learned how to help brains injured through concussions, viruses and pre/early post-natal trauma. Although she started working with children she now works with all ages.
The changes that can happen with neurofeedback never cease to amaze her. She loves being a part of helping people live easier, happier lives.
